About the role:
We are looking for a Team Administrator to assist with the operation of our library and carry out administrative tasks. The role will suit a person studying towards a library or information management qualification, or an administrator with a desire to expand their experience on this field.
As Team Administrator, you will answer general queries and requests and will refer advanced ones to the appropriate specialist staff in the team. You will support our library operations to ensure customer satisfaction and good management of our reference collections. You will also be assisting with the creation and publishing of content about our team in internal communication outlets. You will be expected to carry out data entry for some of the data and information systems that our team is responsible for.
You are driven for good customer service; with a passion to help people find the information and reference material they need to achieve their outcomes. You are known for your attention to detail, processing and organisational skills to ensure tasks are completed on time and at the expected quality. You are a quick learner and a self-starter who can juggle priorities with the flexibility to shift focus when required. Given the nature of the role, you need some degree of fitness to be able to retrieve and return boxes of physical material. As a highly organised and self-managing person, you’re able to work independently and as part of a cross functional team.
This is a Wellington-based, part-time fixed term up until June 2022 covering parental leave. We are open to the days and hours that you work. Starting salary $47,461 to $55,837 pro rata, negotiable depending on successful applicant’s skills, experience.
