The Web Academy is a great resource offering FREE online courses.  Taught by a live instructor just like a real classroom and running for four hours, these cover a variety of topics in web design.


Supporting Public Libraries

CatSIG promotes an understanding of information storage and retrieval in libraries and information centres and  provides a forum for:

  • The exchange of information

  • Sharing of ideas and support in efforts to create and maintain quality catalogues and other databases

  • The encouragement and support for continuing professional development through seminars, workshops, and sessions at conference

  • Supporting the development of international cataloguing standards, in particular Resource Description and Access (RDA)

Student Awards

LIANZA works with Victoria University of Wellington and the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand to reward the best and brightest students in Library and Information Studies.

Our student prizes are awarded annually for excellence in library and information management studies.

LIANZA Council

Council Members

The LIANZA Council provides governance, policy and strategic direction for the Association and is made up of a President, President Elect, Past President, Treasurer, six regional councillors, two representatives of Te Rōpū Whakahau and the Executive LIANZA Director.

LIANZA has an incredible membership base that makes it possible for us to accomplish great things for the library and information profession through our project work.
