Senior Youth Librarian

Are you someone who likes to help people, understands that libraries make important connections and believes in enabling communities to learn, read, collaborate and grow?

In the role of Senior Youth Librarian we are looking for someone who is focused on supporting the lifelong learning of young people and their families as part of a team of professionals in this field.

This position offers a senior level librarian role within a team of Librarians and specialist Youth Librarians. It involves responsibility for overseeing daily operations in the Discover it! Youth Library, leading the team development of youth programmes, liaising with the Community Libraries and Programmes Coordinator on these programmes, and contributing to the big picture of the library team and service. You will work closely with the Library Coordinator and three other Senior Librarians to provide guidance, training and support to the Puke Ariki Library team.
