- Qualified librarian
- Promote reading and lifelong literacy
- Full time permanent role (working 1 weekend in 4)
Do you enjoy promoting a love of reading across diverse communities? As the result of a colleague’s retirement we have a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic and positive librarian to help us celebrate reading of all kinds, through our collections, programmes and services.

To ensure you maintain strong connections with our customers, you will get to spend regular time within our libraries, working with our friendly library team as part of a service delivery roster. You will also enjoy sharing your collections knowledge with your library colleagues to help them grow and develop in their roles.
In your cover letter please let us know about your skills, knowledge and experience in the following:
- Developing and delivering recreational reading services and programmes
- Building relationships with booksellers, publishers and authors
- Working with community groups to co-ordinate events
- Collection management
- Using technology
By taking this career step you will come to a positive workplace where you can apply your skills and do meaningful work, with a supportive Team Leader.
