We are committed to delivering world class programmes in Naturopathic and Herbal Medicine and Massage. We run short courses in nutrition, aromatherapy, yoga and homeopathy.

We are seeking a librarian who can also provide academic support to students and staff and to contribute to Wellpark’s successful degree programme, library and research projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop college library collections and resources; cataloguing of texts and resources
  • Provide library services in response to the information needs of library users – students and staff
  • Provide academic referencing support to students
  • Tutor academic support modules and maintain learning resources for students on Moodle
  • Provide editing support for staff and students papers prior to submission for publishing
  • Conduct searches for staff research projects
  • Help co-ordinate research days
  • Identify CAM related conferences, seminars, open access journals and databases
  • Organise and co-ordinate Journal Clubs

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • A registered LIANZA Librarian
  • Successful organisation and communication skills that have already been demonstrated
  • Experienced in (literature reviews and databases searching
  • Familiar with NZ Copyright Law requirements related to education
  • Experience in learning software (Moodle, Turn-it-in) with excellent computer skills
  • Experience in the Public Library sector and/or Tertiary education libraries
  • Experienced in Moodle, Turnitin, and database access

  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ideally interest and knowledge in natural health sciences and/or integrative care
  • Self-directed worker
