Maurice Dance Summary Report

The "Maurice Dance : a Kiwi Jane-athon" was inspired by the Jane-athons presented by ALA Publishing and the RDA development team, run by National Library of New Zealand cataloguers in cooperation with CatSIG and The MARC of Quality (TMQ). Goals of the workshop were:

  •  to explore RDA data without the filter of the MARC format, using RIMMF software;
  •  to look at how RDA data can be represented using linked data and what opportunities that might offer for cataloguing in the future.

The workshop used resources associated with Maurice Gee, some supplied by National Library, others brought along by participants on the day.

A report on the day has been compiled by Charlotte Christensen (National Library of New Zealand). It includes the results of the feedback survey and a summary of the afternoon’s discussions. Enjoy!
