The Bay of Plenty District Health Board is spread across a vast geographical area and centred across two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatāne.  We serve a population of approximately 259,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki.  The BOPDHB is one of the Bay of Plenty’s largest employers with over 4000 staff.

He Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Library Assistant to join our Library Team at the Bay of Plenty District Health Board.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Providing a customer focused library and information service to library users 
  • Supporting the use of library systems, collections and technology, and manage the general presentation of library spaces

This is a 0.7 FTE position, based at Tauranga Hospital, working Monday – Friday on a fixed term basis until 31 Dec 2022.

We are looking for a friendly, organised person who has a healthy dose of initiative and excellent literacy and communication skills. You’ll have an interest in health and libraries, customer service experience and be a helpful, supportive team member who can pick up new systems and processes easily.
