As one of our Librarians you will work in a productive team who provide a fantastic library service to residents and visitors of the Kaipara District.

On a day to day basis you will assist customers with a variety of services and help maintain systems for managing some of the library collections. You will have a passion for literacy and share the love of reading.

If you are passionate about providing excellent customer service, have a 'can do' attitude and adore books, then you may be the person we're looking for.

The ideal candidate will have:
◾Library experience or be a new graduate
◾An interest in Maori library services would be advantageous
◾The ability to help customers in the digital space
◾Great computer skills with experience in Word, Excel and Publisher
◾Empathy for customers' needs and a team player
◾A current full driver's license (essential)
◾Attention to detail, be proactive and can think outside the square
◾The drive to take responsibility for their own on-going learning and take advantage of opportunities on offer
