Fixed-term academic position teaching academic literacies development

We are seeking a Learning Advisor to join our dedicated and proactive Learning Success team, which focuses upon academic writing and other academic literacies development. This is a fixed-term, full-time position, upto 12 months duration, primarily based at the City Campus Library. This role requires some flexibility with teaching hours and working at other campuses if needed.

The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the development and delivery of innovative learning support services.  

In the position you will:

  • collaborate with Faculty to embed learning sessions related to assessment tasks within specific courses
  • develop and deliver online and on campus workshops
  • consult with students on writing and other academic literacies
  • create and maintain multimodal resources that develop academic literacies

For the position you will have:

  • a relevant Master’s degree (doctoral degree preferred)
  • 3 years’ proven experience in a tertiary institution teaching academic writing, EAP, or related relevant subject
  • excellent teaching, presentation, and communication skills
  • strong IT skills and experience with web technologies

Salary range       TL $75,076 – $109,650
