The Role
We are currently seeking passionate, solutions focussed and dynamic lead to provide guidance to our Library team and support to our Manager Student Services.

Our Library is in a central location at the Raumanga campus; close to the Café, Enrolments and Student Support. It is climate-controlled and has multiple tables and carrels which prove popular study places both for groups of ākonga and individual ākonga. There is a computer suite, and two multi-function printer/copy/scanners. A dedicated study room is available by booking and is frequently used.
The library provides online services, teaching support, face to face support, technical support, physical collections- books, equipment, journals, Māori collections, audio/visual, computer suite, large study room, as well as champion initiatives to promote ākonga participation and completion; develop culturally appropriate learning environment planning and service performance with stakeholders.

Skills and Experience
• Minimum 8 years relevant library experience
• Knowledge and proven experience in the provision of library services
• Knowledge and proven experience of adult teaching and learning programmes
• Knowledge of Inquiry Learning- information literacy; collaboration and plan the orientation programme
• Knowledge of digital information
• Demonstrated ability of understanding the NZ tertiary education environment
• Demonstrated ability in working with groups – planning, delivering and evaluating
• Demonstrated ability to implement innovation and change
• Proficient use of phrases, mihi and greetings in te reo Māori or Level 5-6 Te Reo Māori or equivalent qualification
• Confident knowledge of āhuatanga Māori, actively supports cultural activities and increases knowledge/understanding
