What you will be doing | Ngā whāinga matua

Using your strong information management and retrieval skills, you will be part of a dispersed team which provides tailored, client-focused information services to assist scientists, business managers, and the Intellectual Property team by:

  • Filling information research requests using scholarly literature, commercial and/or intellectual property databases
  • Researching, analysing and synthesising information into accurate answers or actionable information, ensuring clients have the tools or capabilities to apply these
  • Training and supporting users in the use of reference management tools
  • Remaining informed of strategic programmes and projects to proactively source relevant content
  • Advising staff on how to find citation metrics
  • Contributing to the evaluation of new tools and products

What you will bring | Ngā tino pūkenga me ngā wheako

  • Relevant three-year degree with additional postgraduate study, preferably in science or business
  • At least three years practical experience in an information or business research role, in a science environment or searching Intellectual Property (IP) databases is desirable
  • Experience in training and using information management and retrieval tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills to help build enduring strategic relationships
  • The ability to work independently with a commitment to teamwork and knowledge sharing
  • Knowledge of Mandarin would be an advantage
