Calling for Expressions of Interest for IFLA WLIC 2020

The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (ILFA) World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) will be held in Auckland from 28 July to 5 August, 2020.

WLIC 2020 will bring 3,000 library and information sector managers and professionals from over 108 countries and will set a new direction for the international library and information community.

WLIC 2020 is being hosted in a bi-cultural country, with LIANZA and Te Rōpū Whakahau working in partnership to ensure the successful delivery of this congress.  WLIC 2020 will showcase this partnership and reflect Pakeha and Māori world views and applied mātauranga Māori.

WLIC 2020 involves a five-day event at the New Zealand International Convention Centre, satellite meetings and library tours around NZ and to Australia and the Pacific, a cultural evening at Spark Arena, a group of over 300 volunteers … this is big !

WLIC 2020 offers opportunities for professional development in every sector and every field of library work with intense networking, sharing of knowledge, best practice and stories amongst library and information professionals from around the globe. The event provides a significant boost to the professional development of librarians at an economical cost.
