Making Connections/He Hononga: LIANZA Aoraki Weekend School 2019

Friday, April 5, 2019 - 5:00pm to Sunday, April 7, 2019 - 1:30pm

Your LIANZA Aoraki Committee presents Making Connections/He Hononga: LIANZA Aoraki Weekend School 2019.

Participate, learn and share the diverse ways in which we’re all connecting to develop and communicate the work of the library and information sector.

The two-day event will consist of a range of speakers and workshops from new professionals through to senior managers who will share their experiences of connecting with their colleagues, customers and reaching out into the wider community through technology and collaborative projects.

Connection is also about LIANZA members taking the time to network and socialise with one another, so throughout the weekend there will be ample time for discussion and planned social events.

The LIANZA Aoraki Weekend School is divided into three sessions.

  • You can register to attend some or all sessions
  • Full registration is $20 per session
  • LIANZA members only pay $15 per session

Lunch is not provided in the registration cost, only morning tea & afternoon tea will be available.
Spaces are limited to 40 participants per session and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

Please note that speakers and presentation titles are subject to change as per availability.

Billeting is Back!
Not just for sport teams. In the interest of keeping costs down and truly embracing the theme of making connections. We would like to offer the opportunity for colleagues from outside of Christchurch to billet with a Christchurch librarian. Please indicate if you would like to be billeted or are able to offer billeting and we will match you up!

If you are offering to billet please indicate what you can offer e.g. can offer a room (double bed) – shared bathroom, 10min bus ride to Tūranga. Please let us know if you can help billet as part of your online registration.
NB: If you can help billet - but you are NOT attending the weekend school, again please use the online registration to indicate if you can assist someone from 'out-of-town' !

If you are looking for a billet to stay at please let us know what you need (e.g. would like to stay Fri and Sat – 1 person, can’t do stairs). Please let us know if you need a billet as part of your online registration.

We are looking forward to another fantastic weekend school for LIANZA Aoraki members in the heart of Christchurch.

Be sure to list any dietary requirements for all attendees in the note section.

If you are doing a bulk registration or registering on behalf of staff - you can edit the name of the ticket holder when registering & please include their email in the additional information section.

Please note any cancellations made after 22nd March will not be able to be refunded.
