Call for abstracts for the Te Awamutu Weekend Library School

Date:
Friday, March 16, 2018 - 5:00pm

We need more speakers for the Te Awamutu weekend library school. We want to hear from you if you have been doing research and have some interesting findings, or fun and exciting programmes or innovating projects that have had a real impact on your library. Then we want you!

Te Whakakitenga aa Kaimai invites expressions of interest in presenting at our Weekend School to be held at Te Awamutu on the weekend of 18 - 20 May, 2018.

Presentations will normally be 20 minutes long with 10 minutes for discussion/questions. The audience is usually around 75 people who range from library assistants to library managers from public, academic, health and special libraries. We aim to provide a wide range of professional development.

Presenters are expected to register and participate in the whole of the Weekend School. The professional development programme will run all through Saturday and on Sunday morning, followed by time for sightseeing. On Friday evening there will be a welcoming function and on Saturday there will be a pōwhiri in the morning and a dinner in the evening.

Proposals should include a title, a time-frame and either an abstract or a brief account of what you plan to cover in your presentation. We welcome both seasoned and first time presenters. Please send your proposals to penny.guy@tauranga.govt.nz by 16 March.
