Making Connections/Hononga: LIANZA Aoraki Weekend School 2019
Friday 5th April – Evening Social Event in Christchurch
Saturday 6th – Sunday 7th April Weekend School at Tūranga, Christchurch

Your LIANZA Aoraki committee presents Making Connections/Hononga: LIANZA Aoraki Weekend School 2019. Participate, learn and share the diverse ways in which we’re all connecting to develop and communicate the work of the library and information sector.

The two day event will consist of a range of speakers and workshops from new professionals through to senior managers who will share their experiences of connecting with their colleagues, customers and reaching out into the wider community through technology and collaborative projects.

Connection is also about LIANZA members taking the time to network and socialise with one another, so throughout the weekend there will be time for discussion and planned social events.

Detailed programme, registration process and fee information coming soon.

Call for Abstracts
A call for abstracts is being made to colleagues across all library and information sectors to present for 20 minutes during the course of the weekend. We are looking for the different ways in which people and organisations are reaching out into their communities including, but not limited to, technology, projects and new spaces. If you are a new professional and looking to gain some experience presenting, we encourage you to see this as an opportunity to do this in a welcoming atmosphere.

We also invite anyone who would like to do a workshop or interactive session, as we would like to provide a range of options for members to attend and learn new ways of working.
Deadline for abstracts is 1st February 2018.

Please send all abstracts to LIANZA Aoraki committee member Sarah Tester at You can also get in touch with Sarah to ask any questions about the programme.
