We are focused on how we can meet our community’s needs and have a great opportunity for a new role focused on engaging with our communities to develop and deliver innovative learning programmes and events.
This is a permanent role based in Thames but focused on providing positive customer experiences across our three branches. The role is 30 hours per week with the requirement to work Saturdays on a rostered basis, with opportunity for additional hours as the role grows. Additionally, there may be occasions when you will be required to be present at community groups outside of normal working hours.
As a Community Engagement Librarian your ability to engage with a diverse group of people and focus on continually improving our services with provide you with the opportunity to be involved with the future direction of our libraries. This role is varied and busy so excellent communication and attention to detail is a must; you could be developing and delivering programmes, arranging talks on sustainability, organising quiz nights, managing the housebound service, providing readers advisory and being part of the circulation team – all with a smile and a great sense of humour.
You will be a highly motivated star who finds prioritizing easy and enjoys getting the job done.
