Community Engagement Librarian

Permanent part-time, 30 hours per week

We are seeking a flexible and community-minded team player to become our Community Engagement Librarian. You will be passionate about showcasing what libraries do for the community with the aim of increasing awareness and usage, as well as listening to the community so we can learn about how libraries can adapt to suit community needs better. We are looking for a professional with superb communication skills, preferably with strong public library experience and teaching or presenting experience.

Your background will have provided you with the skills to lead our enthusiastic library staff to provide successful promotions, events, learning programmes and outreach services to our community. You will also be somewhat of an all-rounder as you will assist in the provision of our daily library services, including working at least one Saturday per fortnight.

With the ability to work successfully across teams, your work will deliver community engagement services to all three libraries in the district. You will also have a strong ability to collaborate and form community partnerships in innovative ways to ensure our libraries reach their full potential.
