Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand’s largest school. We provide personalised and authentic learning programmes through distance education from early childhood level to NCEA Level 3, including to young adult and adult learners.

Our library supports our distance students by sending them physical reading materials and via our online eLibrary.

We are looking for an organised and experienced Assistant Librarian to join our Wellington based team. 

In this role, you will ensure the continued library operations and develop initiatives to actively support and promote information literacy to students.

As the Assistant Librarian, you’ll play a key role in facilitating student achievement and forecasting the requirements for their literacy needs.

Your understanding of library policies, procedures and cataloguing is vital in this role, along with your experience working with and implementing digital library services and materials. You have experience in purchasing and procurement of materials and are a natural communicator which sees you effectively communicate with a wide range of people.

You will undertake training in library systems and assist in the ongoing design and implementation of business focused library policies, systems and procedures.
