The Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment is reviewing New Zealand’s Copyright Act, and asked for feedback on their Issues Paper.

Making a submission

The LIANZA Standing Committee on Copyright prepared a submission from LIANZA.

What makes a good submission?

Read MBIE’s guide: Preparing an effective submission

Focus on the problems, not on the solutions.

Clearly describe the problem or opportunity.

Explain why it is an issue or problem.

Explain how the problem has come about.

Explain who is affected and how they are affected.

Provide evidence for your submission’s assertions.

Comment on things that are working well in addition to problem areas or opportunities.
