June 2017 Newsletter

We've moved! As you read this, we will hopefully be settled into our new offices at Ground Floor, 79 Boulcott Street, Wellington. We're really excited about the new space-come and find us!

  • We've done our best to update our address on the website but if you spot any places we haven't updated, please feel free to let us know.
  • Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the rules changes. We really appreciate you taking the time to read through the discussion-we'll be bringing a proposed constitution to the AGM for you to discuss.
  • We're headed into our strategic planning and budgeting phase of the year so if there is anything you want to see us deliver next year-let us know now.

IFLA 2020 BID

We've been hard at work putting together a bid in partnership with Te Rōpū Whakahau to hold IFLA in New Zealand in 2020. This logo has been designed and we're really happy with the result.
ALIA, National Library and Tourism NZ have been helping us out with this. We'll let you know how things work out but it will be 2018 before we get a definitive answer.

2017 MEMBER SURVEY

In 2015 LIANZA conducted a membership survey in order to help Council plan strategically for the future. The feedback we received from the last survey has had a really positive impact on how we communicate with our membership and has greatly influenced the activities we are currently undertaking.

The survey shouldn't take longer than 15 minutes to complete

Thank you in advance for your participation-by completing this survey you're helping us improve our services to you.

Take the survey here.

LIBRARY VISITS
In May, Joanna visited NIWA and the Marist Archives. Julia visited Ara Library in Christchurch as well as Central Library Manchester and Te Hāpua: Halswell Centre. You can check out photos on our Facebook page. We love being able to visit libraries and meet the awesome staff there so if you would like us to visit, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Thanks so much for reading and we'll see you in July!
