Have your say about digital inclusion in Aotearoa

You may have read the LIANZA report back to members recently about the mahi of the Digital Economy and Digital Inclusion Ministerial Advisory Group (DEDIMAG).

This group was created to bring together innovators and thought leaders from local and central government, non-government organisations, just to name a few, to provide advice on how the government can meet current objectives to grow New Zealand’s digital economy, reduce digital divides and ensure all New Zealander’s can benefit from digital technologies.

Greg Morgan, Head of Digital Solutions and Innovation at Auckland Libraries is a member of DEDIMAG and invited LIANZA Executive Director Ana Pickering to attend a workshop in July which focused on the draft digital inclusion Blueprint under development.

The DEDIMAG team have been working hard on the Blueprint and are now seeking feedback.

You can find out more about the Blueprint in this blog post which breaks down how the Blueprint will work and outlines sections where DEDIMAG would like feedback.

The blog post invites everyone to “contribute to a New Zealand where everyone can participate in, contribute to and benefit from the digital world”.

LIANZA strongly supports this initiative and we encourage librarians to take up the opportunity to contribute to this mahi.
