TELSIG

Tertiary Libraries Special Interest Group of the Library and Information Association of New Zealand Aotearoa.  TELSIG exists to promote the interests of librarians and libraries associated with tertiary education. We aim to foster discussion and information sharing, encourage co-operation and collaboration, and provide professional development opportunities.

Membership

Membership of Special Interest groups is available for an additional $11.50 when applying for or renewing your membership of LIANZA.

TELSIG activities include

  • A national seminar of interest to librarians working in tertiary education. Information available in our events calendar and on our resources pages.

  • Opportunities for librarians working in tertiary education to share experience and develop new knowledge. Contact the TELSIG Committee.

  • The TELSIG forum- for librarians working in tertiary education

  • Maintaining the TELSIG webpages

  • The TELSIG Annual General Meeting at the LIANZA Conference

  • Sponsorship for TELSIG members and invited speakers to attend events such as the LIANZA Conference.

  • Preparing LIANZA submissions on issues relating to tertiary libraries

 

TELSIG LIANZA Conference 2015 Scholarship

TELSIG are pleased to announce that two scholarships have been awarded to tertiary library assistants to attend the LIANZA SHOUT! Conference 2015 in Wellington.

The scholarship recipients are:

  • Kathryn Patchett (Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology)
  • Rose Beasley (The University of Auckland)

We trust that attending the LIANZA Conference will be a valuable professional development opportunity for Kathryn and Rose.
