We are looking for a marketing and digital savvy, community focused team member to help us engage with and promote our services to our wider community.
About this role | Kō tēnei tūranga mahi
The role has an interesting mix of behind the scenes technical work which includes creating communications for our different customer groups through social media, websites and newsletter and a range of community engagement work; ensuring that the needs of the community are connected with library services.
About you | Ko ngā pūmanawa ōu
To ensure you maintain strong connections with our customers, you will get to spend time within our libraries as part of a service delivery roster and deliver a range of children’s and adults programmes.
In your cover letter please let us know about your skills, knowledge and experience in the following:
- Depth and breadth of your digital literacy and computer skills
- Creating communications for diverse customer groups
- Collaborating with community organisations to provide services
- Facilitation/training/coaching others (team mates and/or customers)
- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Level 5 Diploma in Library and Information Studies, or equivalent)

This is a permanent opportunity, which includes a mixture of week day and weekend work for 37 hours per week based on a 4-week roster.
