The Xanana Gusmão Dili Reading Room (XGRR) encourages life-long learning and pride in Timorese cultural history in a welcoming environment. With a new move to a larger space, XGRR is committed to improving its services and increasing its programme offerings, with several regions already identified for literacy outreach services.
VALA2018 will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from Tuesday 13 - Thursday 15 February 2018. We are now accepting online submissions for abstracts.

The LIANZA Standing Committee on Digital Content and e-Lending was established in December 2012 to advise the LIANZA Council and membership on issues relating to overcoming legal, economic, and technical barriers to e-Lending and the provision of digital content, in order to promote the provision of equitable access to digital content to all New Zealanders.
This paper has been developed by the Standing Committee to provide an overview of the current e-book environment in New Zealand libraries, the wider New Zealand landscape and what is happening in the international arena.

Following the LIANZA Aoraki Branch AGM in 2013 it was noted there was no meeting procedure guide for branch chairs to follow. While this guide has been created for LIANZA it is applicable to a variety of organisations.
LIANZA presents the results of an investigation into the pros and cons of different communications software.
For each of the topics listed below, it is assumed:
A) that to possess a skill in that area is to have an ability to understand and apply these topics in the Library and Information environment and/or have the ability to create, use, develop, implement, manage that information tool, program etc. as appropriate
There have been requests for direction with BOK 11 and Spencer Lilley has kindly compiled the following list of relevant readings to assist registrants.
Unfortunately not all are available on the internet but most libraries and librarians should be able to provide access to them.
