LIANZA Mentoring Scheme

What is it?

The LIANZA Mentoring Scheme provides guidance and support to those completing professional registration who are new to the profession, or have areas of knowledge that need further development.

Who are our mentors?

LIANZA mentors are a group of highly respected members of the profession who have expertise across many parts of the sector and are dedicated to helping registrants develop the skills and knowledge needed for a career in the library and information sector.

What do they do?

Mentors help Professional Registration applicants to develop a Professional Training Plan (PTP) and guide them while they complete the activities and create their Portfolio of Learning (PTL).

How do I find a mentor?

If you're starting your professional registration pathway take a look at our I need a mentor page for information about how to connect with a mentor.

I want to be a mentor!

Mentoring a new professional is an opportunity to make a difference in a young professional's life – you help them grow their skills, challenge them, and encourage them to be better librarians.
