Awards

Our members are the foundation of our organisation and we love to celebrate their many achievements and help them make significant contributions to the Library and Information profession in Aotearoa New Zealand.

We support our members by giving out annual awards such as:

  • Student Awards which recognise individuals who are excelling in their studies at Victoria University and the Open Polytechnic.

  • Professional Awards which include both Associate and Fellowship Awards, and Awards of Merit.

  • Scholarships which provide opportunities for LIS professionals to undertake funded travel or research trips.

 


Edith Jessie Carnell Travelling Scholarship

This scholarship was established as a result of a bequest in the will of Mr Archibald George William Dunningham and named in honour of Edith Jessie Carnell.

Professional Recognition Awards

Every year LIANZA honours the contributions made to the profession in New Zealand by LIANZA members and leaders in the profession.


Student Awards

LIANZA works with Victoria University of Wellington (VUW) and the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand to reward the best and brightest. Our student prizes are awarded annually for excellence in library and information management studies.
