Presentation Skills Workshop
LIANZA Otago Southland are holding a two-hour workshop for members covering presentation skills. This workshop will apply to those new to presenting or as a refresher for those who need some new ideas and reminders about best practice. Included in the workshop will be a range of information sessions covering some core presentation skills and activities to give everyone time to practice. Anyone considering presenting at this year’s Otago Southland Library Assistants’ Day or the LIANZA Conference will benefit from this workshop.
When: Wednesday 1st March, 5:30-7:30pm
Where: University of Otago Central Library, 2nd Floor in the Large Viewing Room
Facilitated: Allison Brown, Digital Services Coordinator at University of Otago Library and long-standing Toastmaster

What this crash course in presentation skills will cover:
- Take the terror out of talk
- Know your audience
- Select your topic
- Organise your presentation
- Be aware of body language
- Visual aids and the use of props

Allison will contact those who register to ask if you can provide examples of what sort of presentations you do or plan to, so we can make sure the workshop will help you in these situations. Please let us know when you register if you are a LIANZA member or plan to present at a LIANZA event.
Following the event, those who would like to, can go across the road to the recently revamped Captain Cook Hotel and enjoy a meal there together.
