HOCKEN LIBRARY

The Hocken is one of the foremost historical research libraries in New Zealand and global interest in our collections is ever increasing. In response, we are working to ensure greater access and the delivery of a broad client-focussed research service. To realise our vision we have a vacancy for an experienced Archivist who shares our passion for supporting research focussed on Aotearoa New Zealand and the Pacific.

VALA 2018-Call for Abstracts Open Now!

VALA2018 will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from Tuesday 13 - Thursday 15 February 2018. We are now accepting online submissions for abstracts.

Want to be on the joint ALIA / LIANZA / LAS conference committee?

We need an individual to represent LIANZA on the conference committee for the ALIA, LIANZA and LAS joint conference to be held on the Gold Coast, Australia in 2018.

Members of the commitee will attend meetings via phone or video conference and assist in delivering a New Zealand perspective.

We need someone who is well networked to assist in gathering abstracts / programme content from New Zealand, and (ideally) who has experience in delivering a conference or other event.

LIANZA CONFERENCE WAS A BLAST!

We had a great time at Shout! Karanga Rā! 2015.

We asked Julia de Ruiter to write us a blog post on what it was like writing an abstract for Shout 2015. Take it away Julia!

LIANZA 2015 Venue Shed 6

This years veShed 6 Map, Google Maps 2015nue for LIANZA 2015 is Shed 6, originally a Harbour Board shed that has since been transformed into a state of the art event space.  It's within easy walking distance of the capital's central business and downtown hotel district.

Shed 6 is linked to the TSB Bank Arena which will house our exhibition space by a light and bright two storey Arcade providing an ‘under one roof’ venue.
